Nallur Kandaswamy Temple, Constructed in 1749 A.D, this Hindu Temple is considered as an icon of Jaffna.With its unique architecture,colorful buildings,and powerful god Lord Muruga – this temple is steadily becoming a¬†tourist¬†attraction in Jaffna – Sri Lanka.The main ‘ Nalloor Thiruvizha ‘ ( Nallur Festival ) happens every year along with few other festivals like Sooran Poar happening throughout the year.A visit to Jaffna without visiting the Nallur Temple is almost like not visiting the real Jaffna.
